Jesus Christ in Mormonism
There are many misconceptions in the world about “Mormons,” more appropriately members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One of the most troubling of these misconceptions is that they do not believe in Jesus Christ, a misconception which is perpetuated by continuing to call them “Mormons.” The term Mormons is a nickname derived from a book of scripture called the Book of Mormon which Latter-day Saints believe is the word of God, along with (not in place of) the Bible. Another reason that many Christian denominations claim the Latter-day Saints do not believe in Jesus Christ is that Latter-day Saints do not subscribe to the traditional creeds of Christianity to which every other Christian denomination holds.
